Another year older

“Every year on your birthday, you get a chance to start new.” — Sammy Hagar

Another birthday has come and gone. There’s something quietly profound about waking up on your birthday. No fireworks, no sudden epiphanies—just the gentle realization that you’ve added another chapter to your story. Another year older.

Is it just a number? Age doesn’t automatically grant wisdom. It gives us a chance to improve ourself. Growing older isn’t just about age; it’s about change. Some years arrive gently, filled with laughter, friendships, and milestones . Life doesn’t slow down, but neither does our capacity to grow, love, and create meaning in the years ahead.

To keep the mental juices flowing, time to learn new skills. A language on Duolingo, guess the word on Wordle every day and try and solve all three levels of Sudoku! Got to accept a few more wrinkles, aches in the joints,

Getting a year older is simply carrying forward more wisdom, resilience, and gratitude while still leaving space for new dreams.
